What's New:

Our veterinarians bring advanced training, board certifications, and specialized expertise to the care we provide. From diagnostics to complex treatment options, we offer a range of specialty services designed to meet your pet’s unique needs—delivered with the same attentive, compassionate approach we’re known for. At Belle Mead Animal Hospital, we are proud to offer a comprehensive physical rehabilitation program through our BMAH Pet Pain Clinic, led by Dr. Kimberly Somjen. This specialized care focuses on improving comfort, restoring mobility, and enhancing the overall quality of life for pets of all ages and species. Dr. MJ Hamilton, D.V.M., DACVIM (Oncology), has joined the Belle Mead Animal Hospital team as our in-house oncologist. With expert care and guidance, he offers a range of treatment options designed to extend and improve your pet’s quality of life. After a diagnosis, Dr. Hamilton works closely with each pet owner to review the pet’s medical history and discuss customized treatment plans, which may include surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy.

Member Profile:

Since 1979, the Belle Mead Animal Hospital (BMAH) has been providing client focused and patient centered care for companion animals in Belle Mead, Hillsborough, Blawenburg, Hopewell, Skillman, Princeton and all the surrounding areas we have been serving for the past 30 years. We’re proud to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), a recognition earned by only 12 to 15 percent of veterinary practices in the U.S. and Canada. This certification reflects our commitment to over 900 rigorous standards of care. What truly sets us apart is our team. Every member of our staff is Fear Free Certified. Unlike most practices that may have only one or two certified team members, we believe every pet deserves a fully trained support system. We know how to recognize fear, listen to pets, and respond with empathy. Pets have the right to be scared and the right to say no, and we are trained to honor that. Our practice continues to grow and evolve, but our mission remains the same: to provide exceptional care in a compassionate, family-like environment focused on wellness and education.
